Tagged: content, eMember, restricted, results, search
Hello, I have searched the forums without luck and I am hoping there is a feature to eMember that filters out the restricted content from a search with the wordpress theme search box.
Non-members cannot access certain pages and categories, yet when they do a simple search, the content pops right up.
Has anyone found a way around this please?
Thanks in advance for any help.

The Search should not show the protected content unless your theme. Please post a link to your site and what keyword I should search for to see the issue.
Hello amin007 and thanks for the prompt response.
My question was not precise enough I realize now. The search results for “gross” http://gemoq.ca/?s=gross&searchsubmit= list the restricted page title and link.
The second item in the results page should not be even visible in the results.
At least the content of the post is not available without login.
Perhaps there is a tweakk that I could use to filter search results better?
Thanks again for precious help!
eMember does not protect the title by default, it protects the content of the post or page and its doing that in that search result too. So it is working as intended.
You can modify your theme’s template file so that it doesn’t show the title when a non-logged in member does a search. eMember has functions that you can use to determine if a user is logged in or not. Simply wrap the content inside this function. This page has a list of various examples that should help you:
