Hi there, Got two questions for you:
1) Is there any way to change the Search results page layout to be the Masonry template? (i.e. same as my gallery layout)
2) The search function currently searches the image titles (which it draws from image meta data). Is there any way to instead have the search function search the keywords inside the image’s meta data? I assume you’d have to somehow store the meta keywords for each image somewhere.
Thanks a lot!
Hi,
My answers to your points:
1) Currently no there isn’t. We will look into adding the possibility of more templates for search in a future release.
2) The photo seller search functionality currently looks for keywords in the following areas:
– photo description and alt text
– photo caption/excerpt
– photo title
– photo name
We are also planning on adding the capability of reading a photo’s exif data during search.
Hey
Thanks for the reply.
Not looking to read the EXIF data.
At the moment you guys are storing and display the images’ title & description, as you said.
Both of these are part of the IPTC core meta data. Another variable in the IPTC are keywords.
Should be a fairly simple way to store these keywords somewhere and search them?
Cheers!
