Hi,
If I offer a membership with a 10-day free option and then $97 per month for 24 months after, can I offer the same membership access with a different payment option and different price?
In other words, can I also offer a one-time payment method and the discount coupon code option to the same membership, and will both methods of payments get you into the same membership?
I also have an affiliate program set up with the membership. Will the affiliate commissions work for both payment options if the process can work with both payment options?
Thank you,
Dave

To answer some of your questions:
1) “..can I offer the same membership access with a different payment option and different price?”
In short no you cannot offer one-time AND subscription payment options for the same product. You will have to create another product where each product is referencing the same membership level.
Note that eStore treats a subscription product differently to a one-time payment product because the PayPal API used for a subscription product is different. Therefore if you are creating a product it has to be either a one time payment product OR a subscription product but cannot be both depending upon user choice.
2) “Will the affiliate commissions work for both payment options if the process can work with both payment options?”
If you create separate products the Affiliate commissions will work for either product.
January 26, 2012 at 3:33 am #41197masmoolaMemberThe reason I asked is because I have 68 videos in one membership with a monthly payment model and I wanted to offer a one time payment discounted price to a special group of people.
How can I offer some kind of one time payment method to my other users for that subscription membership? Is that possible to set up or do I need to create and copy all of the videos on new pages?
It would seem like you could get to the same end result of the membership sign up and log in some how with two different payment types.
January 26, 2012 at 6:45 am #41198IvyMemberYou can set the 2nd membership level (new product) with the special price to use the same membership level as the full priced one. You will however still need to create a new product as Peter suggested.
You can have as many payment options as you like pointing to the same membership level. They will however each need to be their own product.
January 26, 2012 at 1:25 pm #41199masmoolaMemberI think I understand.
Correct me if I’m wrong ..
I can create the new product in the estore and have all of the same links (duplicate the other product basically) and then the payment method will be different, but the end of getting into the same membership sign up page for the same video series will be the same?
Do I have to duplicate the entire video series and everything, or just the product page in the estore?
Is that making sense?
January 27, 2012 at 4:25 am #41200adminKeymasterYou just duplicate the product and adjust the price (if you want to) in eStore then place the shortcode for “Buy Now” type button on the “Join Us” page. You can have as many different price schemes as you want for *a particular* membership level (for example: pay an amount monthly, pay a different amount for the full year, pay yet another different amount for 2 years etc).
