Tagged: affiliate, Commission
I recently created two sample affiliate accounts: ‘store’, then from a referred signup link of the ‘store’ account, ‘storetest’. The referral shows up in my ‘store’ account fine. However, when I bought a product using my ‘storetest’ code, it was attributed to my ‘store’ affiliate account instead (twice). I was trying to test the tiered system to make sure that it logs the information correctly. The clicks are logged on the ‘storetest’ account, but not the ultimate sale. Does this problem have something to do with using the same IP address for both accounts? When I created the ‘storetest’ account, I did have the ‘store’ account open. Perhaps that messed something up. I figured I’d seek assistance before trying anything else. Thank you for your help.
Did you clear all the cookies from the browser, before the test?
No, I hadn’t cleared my cookies before the test. I will try this and see if it works.
