Hi,
Had some time to play around.
As to my previous post about download link not appearing on my download page post payment only when using ie.
I did some more tests : The above fault I noticed only happened when using the new “Enhanced PayPal checkout” using the “Classic PayPal checkout” the link does appear on my download page post payment.
For some reason the other day while I was testing payment process live with IE, PayPal was using the new enhanced checkout, those new enhanced PayPal pages when used, were not putting the download links on my post payment page.
I hope in can get what I am saying!!
October 2, 2010 at 8:25 pm #21589greenfuzMemberI have spent four solid hours testing and re-testing to get the download link to show up on my Thank You page.
I’ve tried live purchases, and I’ve tried the PayPal sandbox (with both buyer and seller account).
My settings have been checked and re-checked, both PayPal and the plugin settings are correct.
The email is delivered properly with a link, which works fine.
Now I am just frustrated and getting angry. Any suggestions? Other than giving up?
October 3, 2010 at 12:39 am #21590amin007ParticipantThere is no reason for it not to work. Frustration won’t help Lets try to find the missing piece so you can get this working.
First of all, have you seen the video tutorial on this page?
WP eStore – Instant Digital Product Delivery on A Thank You Page
Let me know if you have seen the video tutorial and done everything it tells you to do. We will go to the next step of investigation if the above doesn’t help you.
January 30, 2011 at 8:35 pm #21591cflyrunMemberI seem to be having a similar problem. Everything is working great but for ONE piece. Here’s what I’ve got:
In Paypal:
all settings verified as recommended
The return URL is set for another wp ecommerce site I have, but this shouldn’t matter, as the WP Estore from the referring site overrides (?)
In estore:
Everything set up as verified
Thank you page set up with shortcode as recommended
Paypal pdt info input
For a transaction:
Paypal goes through
Transaction shows up in estore logs
Buyer and seller get appropriate emails
Problem:
Paypal never redirects back to the thank you page at the end of the transaction but instead throws a ‘sorry, last action could not be completed’ error.
Checked logs, no errors shown.

January 30, 2011 at 10:59 pm #21592cflyrunMemberFor the record, I have enabled authorize.net as a payment gateway using the WP estore authorize.net plugin, and although using authorize.net brings me back to the thank you page, the download URL is not displayed.
Thanks again,
Daisy
January 31, 2011 at 5:29 am #21593wpCommerceModeratorRegarding this – “Paypal never redirects back to the thank you page at the end of the transaction” … Its not related to eStore. You need to contact PayPal about the issue.
We have found 2 possible issues. One is frames pages sometimes cause the error. If you are loading your site in a frame then PayPal doesn’t like it and can give this error. The other is PayPal cookies. Evidentially, PayPal is having trouble reading their own cookies. Try clearing your cookies.
Authorize.net doesn’t have PDT feature like PayPal where the plugin can do the post payment verification. So It will not display the download links on the Thank You page.
January 31, 2011 at 4:37 pm #21594cflyrunMemberOK, thanks on the Authorize.net issue, I’ll just deselect that.
As for the possible issues, I’m not using frames, I don’t think (?), just regular old WordPress, so I’m not sure on that one. And, I cleared my cookies and *still* got the error.
Please advise. I am using the latest version of the WP eStore.
Thanks,
Daisy
January 31, 2011 at 5:23 pm #21595cflyrunMemberI am so incredibly frustrated I turned off all the transaction information, I don’t care if ANY information is transmitted from Paypal back to my website, but I am back to my original problem, which is that Paypal doesn’t redirect back to my Thank You page at ALL.
I went in and turned off all but the basics in Estore. The return URL is set. There are no frames. There’s not even anything on the Thank You page but the words thank you…
Please help…I can send code, my login/password, ANYthing….I feel like crying I am so mad, I am so close to launching a product here Ack!
I normally use PHPurchase, but since neither PHPurchase or the WP PDF stamper folk are in a huge hurry to integrate, I have to use WP Estore in addition go PHPurchase, just to use PDF Stamper for this ONE product. But Estore shouldn’t conflict with PHPurchase anyway. HELP!

January 31, 2011 at 5:27 pm #21596cflyrunMemberPlease note that I just tried a BUY NOW button instead of ADD TO CART, and it *does* redirect…..sigh…
January 31, 2011 at 5:38 pm #21597cflyrunMemberUpdate: I will just have to use a BUY NOW button, I guess – this is the only way Paypal will redirect at all to my WP Estore Thank You page. It does this whether the PDT option is turned on or off, although it never transmits the information regarding the payment back to the Thank You page either way. I guess I don’t care.
NOTE: When I use a Buy Now button, and get to that last step, the last Paypal page IS popping up a message box telling me that it is going to transmit possibly secure data, and do I want to continue? I click yes, and get to go to my Thank You page. That box was NOT popping up before. I think this is significant and worth looking in to…..?
February 1, 2011 at 3:57 am #21598amin007ParticipantWhenever you click a button that posts data from a https site (example, PayPal’s site) to a normal site without https (example, your site as you are not using https) the browser gives that warning. It doesn’t mean that there is a security issue with PayPal. If you use auto redirection then that message won’t popup as it doesn’t POST all the payment data.
