Return to website link on paypal not working- button coding issue?

Hi,

I was on the phone with Paypal’s tech team since the return to website link brings back a 404 error after a purchase. The URL on both on the estore end and paypal setting look correct. The tech person was wondering if the button code might have a problem and offered to look at it for me. Does this seem like a possibility? I don’t think I changed the button code so I’m not sure why this would be. Also, what is the button code named and where in the files do I find the button code in order to send it to paypal for review?

Hi, Can you do a quick test can you copy the URL you are using for the return URL in the eStore settings and paste this in your browser. Does the error still happen?

Yes, it does work when I cut and paste it from the settings page. What do you suggest next?

Please post a link to the page where you have the button so I can look at the button code.
