Hi, my site uses weekly content. I’ve set up week01, week02, week03 etc membership levels and use redirect after login to the associated pages (I use the auto-upgrade facility to change member level from week01 to week02, then week03 and so on). This all works fine. However, I’ve hidden the weekly pages from my menu as I just wanted to use the redirect. My problem is that, if a user leaves the weekly page, how can I get them back to the content? (i.e. is there code I can use to do the same thing as the redirect after login, which I can embed into a page or the member login box)?
Thanks,
Gary

For instance maybe you can create a page with links to your weekly pages. But when people click on these links only those with the correct membership levels will see the content.
see these links for a good explanation on how to set up the protection mechanisms:

November 11, 2011 at 12:47 pm #38326GaryMemberYes, I’ve already got a page with links to each week’s content, and have protected the pages as you detail above. This works fine but I was just wondering if there was a “go back to current week” bit of code available (i.e. checks logged-on user’s membership level and redirects them to the page associated with that membership level). If not, I’ll keep with the current process.
November 11, 2011 at 10:24 pm #38327PeterMemberHi,
The plugin can redirect people to a configurable URL according to their relevant membership level only after login. (See the configuration item “Redirect After Login” in the Membership Level section)
What you are asking for is if someone has already logged in and was initially at the correct member page but then traverses to another page, then you want the plugin to somehow redirect them back to the relevant membership page. No this is not possible but also not practical.
The easiest solution is to have a link or menu item which members can always click to whenever they want to go back to their particular member page which would be protected as discussed above.
