I have been looking for the setting to input the From address for the “Complete your registration — Your registration is now complete!” email.
I have set the email address for the “Prompt for Complete”
I have set the email address for the “Forgot Password” notification.
I cannot find the place to enter the email address for the “Registration Complete”.
It does not appear to be from wordpress general settings.
The email seems to be something my related to my hosting company. Looks like my install folder combined with the hosting company domain. xxxxxx@box999.bluehost.com.
How do I customize this address?
Thanks in advance,
March 2, 2011 at 11:28 pm #29729amin007ParticipantThe registration complete email uses the same from email as the “Prompt to complete registration”. The purpose of both the “Prompt…” and “Registration complete..” emails are to handle the registration process so it uses the same originating email address.
March 3, 2011 at 7:53 am #29730splucknettMemberThat would be most excellent (makes perfect sense).
But at the moment it is not using the “Prompt to complete registration” email.
Does that email go through a different handler?
The “registration complete” email had an address of the form xxxxxx@box999.bluehost.com.
The “prompt to complete registration” is of the form myname@mydomain.com
Any clues what could be causing this?
I just now double checked the “Prompt to complete registration” email. It is correct.
I then signed up a free member and the from address is clearly not the same.
It is the weirdo hosting server type address.
Thanks for any help.
Much appreciated.

Are you using a similar plugin like the following one or using a similar technique on your site?

Yes, I did save the settings.
But, to make sure I navigated away from the page.
Then, I loaded the page again — thus forcing the form to draw upon the stored data.
I tried that change-wp-email-from-details and that fixed the problem.
Seems like whatever that is doing would be nice to include in the “WP eMembers – Settings” email tab.
Seems odd that the other emails had the proper setting, but this one did not.
Might be nice to put a link and suggestion to use that plugin in the “Email Settings (Registration Complete)” area.
Thanks for your help by the way.
Most useful.

March 7, 2011 at 4:27 am #29733FrankMemberHey Amin,
I have a site too that is showing the registration complete email like this:
Original Message
From: WordPress [mailto:WordPress]
Sent: Sunday, March 06, 2011 8:17 PM
To: bo@blpdx.com
Subject: Complete your registration
The ‘Prompt to Complete Registration is set correctly, just like all the other emails.
Any ideas?

March 7, 2011 at 11:40 pm #29734amin007ParticipantWhat version of eMember do you have. Is the above email sent from the prompt or after the registration? The email subject doesn’t look like it was sent after the registration.
March 9, 2011 at 4:58 pm #29735FrankMemberHey Amin,
No the email was sent to do the registration. All other emails were marked properly but this one wasn’t. As to versions,
WordPress – 3.0.1
eMember – 5.9.5
eStore – 4.8.1

March 10, 2011 at 12:02 am #29736amin007ParticipantOkay so the email that is sent to ask the customer to register is not having the correct From email address. Is this happening for a paid membership path or for a free membership path?
March 10, 2011 at 3:23 pm #29737FrankMemberPaid.

March 11, 2011 at 4:25 am #29738amin007ParticipantOkay… can you verify that you have saved the settings in the “Email Settings” menu?
Is the paid integration done via plain PayPal button or eStore?
March 12, 2011 at 4:35 am #29739FrankMemberYes, have saved settings and the paid integration is via eStore.

August 14, 2013 at 2:48 am #29741clearscopeParticipantI am now having this same exact problem. Auto emails for registration are appearing to come from [xxxxx@box652.bluehost.com] instead of email address that we have specified. We are using a PayPal button for payments. Can you please help as I don’t see the solution listed in this thread.
August 14, 2013 at 8:12 am #29742adminKeymasterWhat value have you entered in the following field of eMember Email Settings area?
From Email Address
You can go to the email settings area by going to eMember settings -> Email Settings.
If you hit reply in that email, what “To” address does it show?
