Hello and good day.
I have done testing and would like to reset the user id’s back to 0.
I would like to do this for wordpress users as well.
Can someone help with me this?
Atleast for the wp affiliate and emember.
Thanks!
Ray Eason
The User and Affiliate ID numbers are assigned by MySQL in sequential order; starting with “1.” The only practical way to reset the ID numbers is to delete all the eMember and Affiliate Platform tables from MySQL and “start over” again.
What entails “starting over”?
I will my settings in emember and wp affiliate be deleted as well?
That is correct, because all of the settings, et al are also stored in the database. The other “non practical” way of doing it, without affecting your settings is highly technical, and should only be attempted by a person who is adept at native MySQL commands. It involves first deleting all of the member and affiliate accounts from the plugins, and then resetting the AUTO_INCREMENT values for the member and affiliate account tables.
Which account tables do I need to reset?
wp affiliate has
wpwc_affiliates_sales_tbl
wpwc_affiliate_wp_affiliates
wpwc_affwp_zapier_logs
This one: wpwc_affiliate_wp_affiliates
FYI – What you are trying to do is not recommended. This is not a standard feature of the plugin. If things go wrong, troubleshooting this will be beyond the scope of our standard support. You will need to hire our developer if you need help for this.
We’re deliberately being vague, because if you were an experienced PHP programmer, who was adept at native MySQL commands; you could have figured out everything from my last post. The last thing we need, is a messed up database structure, that requires you to re-install WordPress.
Please consider “the practical approach” that was described earlier; or hire a professional programmer. Another option, is to request a custom work order quote.
These are tables which have data in it.
That is all I was asking.
I perform backups constantly.
Thank you for your support.
