    1. annual membership works well

    2. expiration was set manually for 6/30/17

    3. eStore product expiration date was reset to next year 6/30/18

    4. when client tried to see a protected page, they see a link to Renew

    5. Renewal links to product works fine, goes to paypal, payment is accepted BUT, the membership status does not change

    Member account state remains EXPIRED

Please enable the debug option in both the plugins. Then do a renewal test transaction. Share a link to the page where you have the renewal button so we can inspect the button and check the log file data.

    Hello,

    The renewal page is [http://www.arlingtonsepta.org/renew-now/]

I have enabled debug on both plugins.

There have been several transactions with debug in place. The transaction completes through paypal but then does not “renew” by setting the Status to active in the plugin.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

    Thanks

    Kim

Thank you. As far as I can see, the transaction worked fine.

I will refer to the transaction from member ID 166. I can see the following in the log file which means that members account was set to “active” and the start date was updated accordingly (so the access gets extended).

[07/12/2017 5:33 PM] – SUCCESS :Modifying the existing membership profile… Member ID: 166

[07/12/2017 5:33 PM] – SUCCESS :Not using secondary membership level feature… upgrading the current membership level of the member.

[07/12/2017 5:33 PM] – SUCCESS :Updating the subscription start date to the current expiry date value: 2018-06-30

[07/12/2017 5:33 PM] – SUCCESS :Executing DB update. Debug data: active|2|2018-06-30

[07/12/2017 5:33 PM] – SUCCESS :Member signup/upgrade completion email successfully sent to: xxxx@gmail.com

If you edit that member’s profile from the members menu of the plugin you don’t see the account status to be active?

Hello, I thought the renewal issue was fine, but just got a call from my client that NONE of the renewals are displaying as active.

The renewal date is correct to expire next year on June 30, 2018, once they have completed the online payment, but they are all listed as expired so they cannot access the protected information.

It seems that all NEW registrations are working correctly, but all renewals are changing the date in the system but not the Expired status.

    Please help.

    Thanks,

    Kim

Something weird is going on this site. I will jump on your site and take a look. I have sent you an email for it.

Looks like you are using eStore for your renewal buttons and you didn’t specify the membership level ID in the “Reference Text” field for the eStore product in question.

You need to specify the membership level ID in the renewal product so the plugin know that it is a payment for a membership.
