I know this may seem weird but I’d like to disable the “Price and Total displays from the shopping cart widget. I would only like to display the item name. Essentially I am not charging for the product but want to keep track of the products ordered. Is this possible?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Yes this is possible using the extra shortcodes.

But you will need to install the extra shortcodes plugin if you have done this already:

WP eStore Shortcodes and Functions Reference

    For example you can use:

    [wp_eStore_fancy_display id=1 type=1 style=1 show_price=0]

When you set show_price to ‘0’ it suppresses the price field.

Thanks Peter but that doesn’t seem to work and I don’t want to use the “Fancy Display” option (I don’t use images). I did install the shortcodes plugin and tried the code on the product but I’m still seeing “Price”, the price of the item, “Total” and the total price of the items. I’d like to be able to get rid of all of that and only display the name of the linkable item.

Nope, you can’t just list the items in the cart without any price details. If you are giving a product for free perhaps look into using a squeeze form or “Download Now” type buttons:
