Is it possible to display just the shopping cart contents on a page without a “Checkout” button?
I am building a site for a client who wants to have two pages with Add to Cart buttons. On the first page is a registration form and the ability to add a service to their shopping cart (this is the page where we don’t want a Checkout button).
After they register, they are directed to another page where customers can purchase additional products to go with their service. Basically we don’t want them to actually checkout with PayPal until they hit that second page.
I think I actually figured this out! If anyone’s interested, I installed the Extra Shortcodes for WP eStore plugin.
I placed this shortcode within my page:
Then, inside that folder, I edited line #491 inside shortcode_include.php to read:
It allows me to show the cart when someone adds a service, but doesn’t let them check out prematurely.
Still, it would be great if we had our own shortcode for doing this.
Plus 1 for the shortcode to show a shopping cart without the checkout button!
Thanks eels – great discovery
Israel.
