i would like to remove the option for the client to select the country tax as we will only sell in the USA. i cant seem to find an option to sell to only one region
Which tax option are you using? There are a few options so I need to know which one you are using before I can give you an answer.

im using authorize.net as my gate way. but i do not want to show or give the option to choose a country in the shopping cart, as we only sell in the us.
The cart doesn’t show any country option by default. It will only show an option if you have enabled it in the settings.
So I still need to know which options (if any) that you are using from the following two documentation. This will help me understand what you are actually referring to:
