It looks like my Registration page is being treated as a post and not a page. The page loads OK when you click ‘join us’ from the login form, but it has a Leave a comment form below the Registration form. Even if I change the WP option to require users to be logged in to leave a comment, I still get the ‘Leave a comment’ heading and a message that you should be logged in order to leave a comment. This ‘Leave a comment’ does not appear on any other of my Pages. Only at the bottom of the Registration page. How can I prevent this?

WP eMember does not add anything to a post or page. All it does is show a registration form where you place the shortcode. It is really simple to prove it. Edit this registration page and take out the shortcode that you used on this page. Now save the page and preview it. Do you see the comment thing now?

    Then do the following:

    1. Create a new test page with some random text

    2. Preview this page (do you see the comment stuff?)

    3. Now add in the eMember shortcode that places the registration form

    4. Preview this page (have anything changed in terms of comment section that you saw in step 2?

You’re right. Tucked away under Quick Edit (which I never use) is an ‘allow comments’ tick box. It seems it got set to ‘on’ for the new pages. This option shows up no where else that I can see – not on the normal Edit page. Switching off ‘allow comments’ removed the comment section. Sorry to waste your time, but you did force me to look more closely for a solution within WordPress itself. So thanks.
