Hi,
I’m a little confused regarding the Paypal BUY NOW button creation. There is a video in the documentation section (wher we first learn to set up the Paypal button) where we can create a Paypal button from within WP-Emember itself. Here we set the IPN in Paypal to “on” and just input our site homepage URL (according to video instructions)
Bu t inside Settings there is another tab called ayment gateway which show how to put a specific IPN url and create a buy now button in paypal.
Which is the correct way. I have just one level of membership and need just one buy now button.

It doesn’t matter what URL you have in your PayPal profile, as long as you turn on IPN. It is okay to use your homepage URL as the IPN URL in your paypal profile (when you are activating IPN).
If you follow these directions, the generated button code will contain an “overriding URL” that will direct the IPN to the correct place:
