Hello, I wanted to know if it is possible to refuse access to certain customers in my page through the plugin of eStore. Can I configure the plugin of eStore that does not allow that certain customers make purchases in my web page using the e-mail from these people or their full name.It would be very helpful if you can tell me how to make a setup like this.
best regards
July 30, 2012 at 4:30 pm #47893wzpModeratorThere are 21 people in the world with my same name. I’d be pissed if you blacklisted “the other guy” and I was deprived of your product
email address blocking is also ineffective, because it only takes 5 seconds to create a new one.
IP address blocking won’t work either, because most of your customers will be using dynamic IP addresses.
What is the specific problem that you are trying to solve?
July 30, 2012 at 5:00 pm #47894manymaxSpectatorI have web page dedicated to the sale of video tutorials, after that the customer makes the payment will receive the link to download the purchased tutorials. The problem is that recently there are people who try to fraud me asking for they money back through PayPal after they have received the tutorials,in this way they receive the tutorials and his money back.PayPal does not provide any warranty to the sellers of digital products as in my case.Exactly for this reason I want to deny the possibility of making more purchases in my web page to these people.
Also wanted to know if there is an option that can serve as proof that these people have already received the download links.
regards
July 31, 2012 at 12:04 am #47895adminKeymasterWe are working on creating an eStore Addon so you can blacklist customers and in the future, eStore will deny purchase from those users. Now, this is not going to be 100% effective as pointed out by WZP because it will rely on email address for blacklisting and the user can always use a different/new address.
In the meantime I wanted to let you know that there are way to fight disputes from scammers. Please have a look at the following post for more discussion on this:

Getting multiple paypal accounts is quite the hassle – thus overcoming the get another email quick, quick fix.
