I’m doing pre-launch testing on an eCommerce site selling only digital download items, which uses PDF Stamper, and WP eStore integrated with PayPal. I have questions about capabilities related to issuing refunds.
1. Is it possible to refund a specific product only from an order comprised of multiple products and retain the customer record for the remainder of the transaction? I realize I can refund the amount of the specific product but so far that seems to delete the entire customer transaction record in WP eStore / Order management.
2. If I issue a partial or full refund the digital product links remain active until they expire. Is there a setting that would automatically terminate the refunded product link at the time of refund?
Thanks
Hi, regarding your questions:
1) Do you have the “Use Automatic Customer Record Removal” option enabled in the eStore settings?
2) The encrypted download link will remain active for the time period you specified (even if you issue a refund). The following addon lets you see if someone has used that link already or not (if you wanted to see if that customer used the link):

Thanks for your reply.
Relating to question #1 – yes I do have the cited option enabled in eStore Settings. I’m assuming from your response that that will take care of the problem of the entire customer transaction being removed. I will disable the field and test.
Beyond that, is there a way to tie a partial refund to a specific product that was refunded, as say captured in eStore Stats?
The plugin does keep track of the refunded items. You want to see a list of the refunded product IDs in the stats interface?
