Tagged: WP eStore
Hi, I would like to offer a few customized products in my site. For every product, the customer has to answer a different form with different questions. I would like to redirect the customer to the specific relevant form after he successfully complete his purchase.
Is it possible to redirect the customer to different pages after the purchase according to the product he has chosen?
Thanks,
Dayar
Yes, if you use “Buy Now” or “Subscription” type buttons. You can override the return URL on a per product basic from the “Buy Now or Subscription Type Button Specific Settings” section of the product.
For add to cart button the product specific redirect will work if the cart checkout has one time in the cart. Why? Remember, “add to cart” buttons allow the user to checkout multiple items so if a user purchases 3 items for example in one checkout each pointing to 3 different URLs, then the cart will be confused as to where to send the customer after the purchase. However, if your customer is checking out using ONLY one product in the shopping cart, then that product specific page redirection will work fine (since there is only one page to redirect to).
