Redirect for expired user/member not working

I have created a page for expired users and set that up in the settings: Redirect Expired User (box is checked and url is in place), but when an expired user logs in, they are not redirected — the login box just remains there and they are not taken anywhere.

Do you have the “Allow Expired Account login” option enabled first? The user need to be able to log into the system for the redirection to be triggered. So make sure that option is enabled.
