okay I understand your setup now. Question for you…
You are just getting them setup with a basic account first (a free membership level) then later when they pay, their account gets upgraded to the level they paid for correct?
Not necessary.
Ideally each sign up should be linked to its subscription plan.
I have:
– subscription plan A and B
– forms created by form builder add-on
– forms are created for A and B since I could not get the form to work for both plans. (I have followed your instruction but did not work for some reason)
– a static member restricted page with important condition and subscribe button. The contents and subscribe button is changes for each membership level
In perfect world in my mind
1. You have a condition text and subscription button on the registration form.
2. When you submit the form, it takes to the subscription page.
3. User pay and redirect to the user detail page.
4. Then, the user login to input one of custom field shown only in the user detail page to be filled with serial number.
Thank you
okay here is one solution that might work:
1) Lets say you have 2 main membership levels (Main Level A and Main Level .
2) Now, create 2 free levels for the corresponding main levels. Lets call them “Pre payment level A” and “Pre payment level B”
3) The after login page of thees *pre payment* levels will be the page that contains the subscription button and the conditional text (update the conditional text to use these new level IDs)
4) After the user makes the payment, the level gets upgraded to the *main* one in the background.
Will that work for you?
