Redirect after registration through form builder

I recently purchased form builder addon in order to have extra custom fields in registration form.

I need users to land on a specific URL after form submission. I have tried to set the URL in both eMember settings “After Registration Page (Optional)” and inside the form builder settings “confirmation>redirect”.I also tried form builder settings “confirmation>page>select a page”.

But no success! Users still land on Member login page after registration.

How can I solve this issue?

I think you have specified a “After Registration Page” redirection so that one is taking priority. Go to the following settings area:

eMember Settings -> Pages/Forms Settings

Remove any value from the “After Registration Page (Optional)” field.

Does the redirection work correctly after that?

Hi,

Yes I have specified the URL of the intended page there but it redirects to another page.

I removed the field and checked, still redirects to wrong address.

Looks like you have enabled the “Enable Auto Login After Registration” option. If you keep that option enabled then the plugin is going to auto login the user (instead of redirecting to the after registration page).

So uncheck that option if you don’t want to use the “auto login after registration” feature.

OR

Use the after login redirection feature (you can specify a different after login redirection page for each membership level), so after they get “auto logged-in”, they get redirected to the after login page.

I need the “Auto Login After Registration” on because I want to eliminate one extra step for the user (login after registration).

I tried “after login redirection” for user level too. Again it goes to member-login page after form submission!

I have tried all different possibilities through the options of eMember and Form builder. As I understand, it does not matter what you select in options or what you specify in the fields, it always ends up on member-login page!

The “After Login Redirection” is not something you configure in the form builder. That comes with the core eMember plugin.

It will work like the following (after you configure it):

1) The user completes the registration

2) As soon as the registration is complete, the user will be logged-into the site (since you enabled that option).

3) So, now the user is logged in meaning the after login action will get triggered

The key thing to understand is that when you enable the “auto login” feature, there is no after registration anymore since the user gets logged into the system and the after login action gets triggered.
