Tagged: database tables
Hi
I developed my site locally and everything was working fine. When moved onto a Linux server, it caused issues because the plugin seeks database tables with capital letters when they do not. Because Unix is case sensitive, this stopped everything working.
I went through and put the capital letters into the database names to get it working.
May I suggest the plugin is adjusted to not use capital letters to avoid this issue.
Thanks.
That’s actually a Microsoft problem. The case insensitivity issue with Windows exists due to the legacy DOS treatment of 8.3 filenames.
We don’t use capital letter in any new database tables anymore. However, some of the old tables have it for backwards compatibility.
