recurring payment with wp emember

Hello again. Is it possible to set up recurring payments using a paypal subscription button using wp eMember only? Or do you have to use emember/estore to complete this. Thanks!

You don’t have to have WP eStore for recurring payment. You can do it with Paypal subscription button as well. Please have a look at the following post on how to use plain PayPal button with WP eMember –

If I used a paypal subscription button, how would someone cancel the recurring payment part? For example, when they pay for the subscription I’m going to have a note that says “Payment will automatically recur each month. Please [ something ] to cancel the recurring payment”. Is this possible?

Subscription payments can be cancelled from the PayPal account. So you can just tell your members to log into their PayPal account and cancel the subscription if they do not want to continue at any time.
