    Hi,

I’m trying to setup a product that has a ‘membership initiation fee’ of $97.00 with recurring of $17.95 per month.

When I click the ‘Buy Now’ button, PayPal is only looking at the $97.00 amount with no mention of the recurring.

I’ve tried every way to Sunday to configure this… with $97.00 in the Product Price and $17.95 in the recurring section. Then nothing under product price with 97.00 as a trial and $17.95 recurring and still PayPal doesn’t acknowledge the recurring.

What might I be doing wrong?

BTW, this is being integrated with Wishlist.

    Thanks,

    Ros

I am pretty sure that you are using the wrong shortcode (perhaps you are using the shortcode for the “Buy Now” type buttons). When creating a subscription button please follow this instruction:

How to Add/Create a Subscription Button for Recurring Payment

Here is the documentation index page for the WP eStore plugin:

Let me know how you go.

Btw, when creating a subscription button the value in the normal price field doesn’t matter (the amount value is taken from the subscription section). This allows you to enter textual description of the subscription price in the “Price” field (e.g. $49.95 for 7 days then 29.95 per month). This can come in handy when displaying the product in a fancy display.

Thanks Amin! That did the trick.
