Ok, so I have a membership product set-up in estore. It is linked to a membership level in emember and test transactions are working. It is setup as a test with 0.01 price and in the recurring billing section 0.01 every 1 month.
So in paypal, in payment preferences where I can view subscriptions, there should be an active entry for the test transaction right?
Nothing there.
After each regular payment has been made you will see an entry in your “Recurring payments dashboard” of your PayPal profile.
You might have to wait till the next monthly payment cycle.
Hi Peter
That doesn’t sound right to me. If the transaction did not appear in the paypal recurring payments section until the next billing cycle, how could someone cancel it? Also I did some test payments with a billing cycle set in estore of every 1 day for that product.
Looking at My Account>History>More Filters>Subscriptions> in paypal, nothing is listed.
So it seems estore is not creating a paypal subscription properly. Another clue is that during passback after a test transaction, I can enter in estore some text for the button displayed in paypal. That button does not show up in paypal when I do a test transaction. So it seems to me that not everything is being passed to paypal that should be, even though the error logs claim it is.
I just cannot understand why there are so many difficulties with trying to set up emember/estore on what is, apart from those plugins, a fresh install of wordpress.
Hi,
For my last reply – I was actually talking about the seller’s account.
Regarding the buyers (subscriber) PayPal account – what you are seeing is some sort of quirk with the PayPal menus because I can’t see anything displayed in the “My Account>History>More Filters>Subscriptions” too.
However if you click on the Profile link and then on “My Preapproved Payments” you will see the currently active subscriptions. To cancel, you click on the “Active” link and you can cancel from the ensuing page.
I can assure you that subscriptions are being correctly setup because I have several running concurrently on my test account.
