Recommend a Theme for optimal eStore w/eMember site?

I have a site where we’ve used eMember for sometime and are about to add eStore. In the process of planning, we updated the Avada theme that we’d been using only to discover that its become very “heavy” with the “required” plugins which we’re UNLIKELY to really require/need.

Are the “legacy” default styles (e.g. Twenty-X,Y,Z) still informally endorsed (based on posts on hiding content and menus for logged in users only, etc) or are there newer themes that serve well?

We don’t really need sliders and all that stuff.

All of our plugins should work with almost all themes. So you don’t need a special theme.

I personally check the following places when I am looking for a new theme:

Official WP repository, Genesis child themes from Studiopress, Elegant themes etc.
