MemberHi,
I have just bought the plugin on Feb. 24th, downloaded it, then uploaded the plug-in via FTP to my site and started customizing some values in the Settings following your great video tutorial step by step. When it came to hit Update, I was presented this warning multiple times:
Warning: get_headers(http://www.underwaterlightroom.com:80/wp-content/plugins/wp-affiliate-platform/affiliates/login.php):failed to open stream:Unable to find the socket transport “ssl” – did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP? in var/www/underwaterlightroom/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-affiliate-platform/wp_aff_utility_functions.php on line 56
The URL specified in the “Default Landing Page” field does not seem to be a valid URL! Please check this value again: [www.underwaterlightroom.com]
I know I typed my URLs correctly, how do I solve this problem?
I am using Genesis Studio Press. My site is [www.underwaterlightroom.com]
Standing by, thank you in advance,
Doug

KeymasterHi Doug, I tried to go to your site but it wasn’t loading for me so I couldn’t do a test. Who is your hosting provider and what hosting package are you using? The reason I am asking this question is because the following error usually happens with hosting mis-configuration:
Unable to find the socket transport "ssl"Regarding the warning about the “URL being valid”…. If you know that the URL is correct then you can ignore that error message (it will not harm your site). It is just checking to see if the URL values that you entered is correct to prevent any typos). Something on your server is blocking the method used to perform the URL validation check. Which is why it is showing that error. Your users won’t see that error (it is only for the admin).

MemberThanks for the response. I was able to load the plugin even with the warning signs.
