Hi,
Firstly, thanks for the new Receipt Creator add-on. This is simply brilliant – my client was just asking about this functionality the other day, and you guys managed to build one! Perfect…
I’ve just tested it and noted a few things that might need tweaking:
- Buyer name and address not being displayed.
- Transaction ID not being displayed.
- Total price not being displayed.
- Total price currency symbol is incorrect.
We’re currently using £ but the symbol displayed is $
- Line between Company Info and Payment details.
Currently cuts into the “Payment Details” top.
- Company Information header can’t be more than 4 lines.
For some reason, the text doesn’t push down the rest of the content if more than 4 lines are used. It writes over the top of the purchase details.
Feedback
Nice to have features for the the plugin:
- support an image/company logo in the header
- support a footer text area (for additional company information, e.g VAT & Company Registration number)
- equal margins on both sides.
…at the moment, the right side of the table has a narrow margin compared to the left.
Anyway, great idea! Thanks again and I hope this feedback is useful.
Cheers,
Zain

July 27, 2012 at 8:34 am #47775ZainParticipantCool… I’ve just uploaded and checked it – it’s looking great guys!
The fixes are working – currency symbol, total price, name and address etc. are all showing.
One weird thing… the PDF that was generated yesterday is still not working, new ones do. Would this be a caching issue? (i.e. would WP Super Cache stop this from re-generating?)
And 2 minor “nice to have” suggestions:
- it would be great if the “Receipt URL” (under the Issues Receipts tab) was a link that opens in a new window.
This just makes it easier for the Admin, rather than copy and pasting lots of times.
- change the default tab to be the “Receipt URL” after the settings have been saved for the first time.
At the moment, it’s a 2 step process – as an Admin, I’d rather get to the receipt page immediately. WordPress can be slow to work with sometimes, so anything that skips an unnecessary page is always appreciated.
Anyway – this is great. I’ll let my client know… I’m sure he’s going to be impressed too!
Cheers,
Zain

I’m not surprised and this might be expected because it is highly likely that the reason you were seeing the initial problem may have been due to how we were encoding the url string in the first place. ie, the plugin was not robustly creating the URL string to deal with all types of characters and I suspect you may have had some accented characters in your email address maybe??
Therefore any pdf URL links generated prior to the fix will not work
But you should not see this problem anymore in the new version.
Thanks for the other suggestions – we will take them on board
October 15, 2012 at 8:33 pm #47777mikru2010MemberHi,
great tool
I have some questions / feature requests:
A) Is there a way to display a unique receipt id in the receipt too?
In my country proper receipts need to display a unique receipt id which has a counter like enumeration as part of the id (no gaps allowed because of tax law)
So basically receipt id’s should be counted upwards and perhaps have additional identifier like calendar year and perhaps an offset.
So a valid receipt id would be build like this “calendar year-offset+receipt-nr”.
Example: Receipt-Nr. 2012-1023
where calendar year = 2012, offset = 1000, actual receipt-nr = 23)
Next valid receipt-nrs would then be: 2012-1024, 2012-1025, 2012-1026 etc.
Would it be possible to have the receipt creator build the receipt-nr. like this and then display it in the receipt too? Perhaps above or instead transaction id?
C) I also would need the receipt to display the net, the tax and the total amount.
It looks like only the total will be displayed?
D) Is there a way to test the rceipts looks / info with a sort of dummy receipt?
Uhm, this were a lot of questions. But I’m exited to make this tool work according to my needs. Hope you can help

A: You have some useful suggestions but at this stage the above things are not possible.
But we will take this feedback on board and consider it seriously for a future release.
