Hi
This problem is to do with the non-responsive nature of the design of the Simple Download single download page on my eMember site. There are 3 issues…
1. The 2 column design – image on left, title & description etc on the right – is non-responsive on mobile ie. it stays as a 2 side by side columns on a mobile phone screen. This stretches the text in the right hand column out rather a lot so it doesn’t look great. As far as I can tell it is not solved by simply not having a download image as the text column stil only takes up half the screen width. However the situation is complicated by …
2. The reCapatcha (“I am not a robot”) tickbox is also a non-responsive design and seems to be a fixed width of a certain mumber of pixels. This ‘breaks’ the page design and increases the page width beyond that of the rest of the content in the page like the header and footer, so the user has to scroll horizontally. Removing the download image does contain everything within the width of the mobile screen, however as I said it looks bad as the title and description etc. are stretched out in a column that still only takes up 50% of the screen width. It also hightlights the fact that…
3. There is no internal padding set on the download page so the content is hard against the left side of the screen. This is the same on a desktop screen, but I just noticed it before now as I never experimented with not having an image, and also my site design container width is set to 1200px so there was always white space beyond the content in the download page on my widescreen laptop.
So as mentioned in previous posts here I am using Elementor page builder to creeate the site and so have probably been ‘spoilt’ by it’s automatic use of responsive design so you can define things like padding widths for every element separately for desktop, tablet and mobile. I appreciate that the your plugin does not offer that level of control, but as I don’t have any access to the the download page from my WP dashboard there appears to be nothing I can do from my end to solve any of these problems.
Any solutions you can offer would be gratefully received.
Best regards
ANgus
PS – Again this is probably a Simple Download problem rather than an eMember one, but I am unable to post on the SD User Forum as I only have the free plugin.

This one has the download image removed [staging.scotlandthemap.info/sdm_downloads/uk-parliament-scottish-constituencies-general-geographic-electoral-knowledge-atlas-14-oct-2019-v1-0-html] , this one has both [staging.scotlandthemap.info/sdm_downloads/scottish-local-councils-general-geographic-knowledge-atlas-19-sep-2019-v1-0-html]
