As in the intro video, we created a products page
[http://www.theloaclub.com/products/]
with two products and cart as in
[wp_eStore_fancy2 id=23]
[wp_eStore_fancy2 id=24]
[wp_eStore_cart_when_not_empty]
and a thank-you page
[http://www.theloaclub.com/thank-you/]
On placing an order, the PayPal confirmation page gives only two return links as in
Go to PayPal account overview
Add funds from your bank
Actually there was a third option on the first try which was I think called
Return to merchant
but that has not appeared in subsequent tests and that link was invalid in that it added %20 to the correct URL as in [http://www.theloaclub.com/thank-you/%20] which got a 404.
If you order the 1c product on that Products page, you should get the same result. I’m guessing it’s something simple we’re not doing but don’t know how to give you better info on this.
BTW the email and the order process correctly – it’s just the redirect that’s failing.
Currently you have no “Thank you” page specified in the settings of the plugin. So go to eStore settings and enter the URL of your “Thank You” page in the “Return URL” field. Save the settings and do a test.
When entering the URL in that field, make sure to check that you are entering the correct URL (don’t make a typo in the URL or it will cause a 404 error). You can enter the URL in the browser’s address bar to verify that it is correct.
You can also turn on auto return in your PayPal account to automatically re-direct to the thank you page after payment. See the following post for more details on that:
