say i have a product that sells for 9.99 with a reoccurring subscription through paypal, if i raise the price of the product to 11.99, will the existing subscribers have their cost automatically rise? Or, will it only affect all new customers?
When you change the recurring price it will only affect the new customers. You already made an agreement with your existing customers to charge an amount when they signed up so PayPal won’t allow you to change that. Otherwise someone can easily sign a customer up with $0.01 and then bump the recurring price to $1000 (imagine how this can be used to exploit the customers).
