Hi
We’re currently getting a few customers telling us that their download stalls before completing. When we look at the link we see that the title of the product contains question marks which shouldn’t be there. Here’s an example (amended so it’s not a live link).
Simon & Garfunkel Kathys Song – https://www.jerrysgbar.com/?enc_dl_action=process&file=xxxxxxx
Not all customers are seeing this but the ones who do have the download stall out.
Do you know what might be causing this?
The “question mark” seen in the links signifies the start of a “URL query string,” and is not only “normal” but required for the plugin to operate properly.

There are many reasons, too numerous to discuss in a single reply, that can explain download stalls, hesitations, and delays. Because you seem to indicate the download eventually completes; it issue is most likely related to the type of hosting plan your server is using, or network traffic. Since only “a few customers” are experiencing this issue; network traffic (congestion) is the most likely cause.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Our server is Amazon S3. When we get this problem we send them a direct link to the URL of the file on the S3 server which always works. (By the way, what the customers say is that they try several times but it always stalls at some point. This example said 39%.)
We have speculated that maybe something in the encryption causes the problem just because it doesn’t happen with the direct URL link, but we’re just guessing.
Please ensure that you have properly configured eStore for Amazon S3 integration:

When you say “?” mark, were you referring to the ones in the product name or the one in the actual URL?
