In the email settings, a purchase email confirmation is supposed to go out with the message:
“Thank you for placing an order with Modelli Creations!
We usually ship orders within 1-2 business days.
*If you would like to know what your additional shipping charges are before it departs our warehouse please do not hesitate to contact us*”
This exact message is what is typed in for the purchase email confirmation field.
However, this is the message that is actually getting sent out to customers:
“Dear BLANK,
Thank you for placing an order with Modelli Creations.
ALL PRODUCTS GET LISTED IN THIS AREA…. BLANK, BLANK, BLANK, ETC.
Your order will be processed after you reply to this email with confirmation that your order is correct and we will then notify you of shipping charges and tracking information.
Thanks so much!”
I have no idea where the incorrect confirmation email is coming from. How do I fix this to show what I actually want sent?
That email you are currently getting is not the default purchase notification email. So that means you customized it earlier. You just need to edit that same area and customize it again.
Check the following areas:
1) The product specific instruction field
2) eStore Settings -> Email Settings -> Buyer Email Body
3) eStore Settings -> Email Settings -> Seller Email Body
4) If you are using manual checkout then check the following field also:
eStore Settings -> Payment Gateway Settings -> Manual Checkout -> Directions for the Customer
It was under the payment gateway settings > manual checkout. Thanks for your help!
