    Hi:

I have set just one membership level and given it one category protection (the category also has a sub-category.) I set it on the Membership Levels page where I selected the membership level on the dropdown and then selected the categories and ticked the ones and “granted access” (to these parent and child category).

I am myself in eMember as a member (as Admin).

Nevertheless, when I log out of the eMember, I am able to type the URL of a page of that category in the Google Chrome address bar, and go directly to that page.

What have I done wrong? I should not be able to access that page if I am logged out of eMember, right?

Have you tried CLEARING the cookies & CLOSING the browser? Better yet, using the URL on another browser (Firefox, etc) that has never logged into eMember?

The other thing is… have you any page caching plugins installed? If so, which ones?

Yes I tried clearing cache etc, but I think I accidentally discovered the solution. I am meant to first block the content generally, and then “allow access” to the category for that membership level. I didn’t do the first step. Now I tried that and it’s working okay.
