I have a top-level category with a number of sub-categories associated with it.
Does protecting the top-level category automatically protect each of it’s sub-categories (that is, grant access to the top level, no need to grant permission to the subs)?
Or do I need to grant access to each sub-category specifically?
Thanks!

Hi Gary, Protecting the top-level category will not protect it’s sub-categories. You will have to set protection to each of the categories (Each category in WordPress is unique even though it is presented in a hierarchical order)
I was afraid of that — oh, my aching clicking finger. Oh well, it just has to be done once.
Thanks!
