Emember hides the content on my sites pages just fine, but it’s not hiding the main menu in the sidebar.
So even if you’re logged out, if you find a members-only page, you can see and browse the entire menu structure. You can’t see any of the content, but you can see way too much IMO.
Why is this, and how do I fix it?
I’m using Profits Theme, if that matters.
By default eMember will protect the content of your post, pages, comment etc (not navigation menu). It doesn’t matter if someone can see a Navigation item because when they land on the page the content of the page is protected and it will prompt them to login before they can see any protected content.
eMember has functions that you can use to custom code your nav menu so only the items you want to show to your non-member will be visible. This post will explain:
