I am not able to get the eStore icon in Page edit view with all the code snippets, so I pasted in [wp_eStore_fancy1 id=2] to show a product and nothing shows up.
I am on a Mac, running latest version of wp. Any help is appreciated as to why I am having so much trouble with this. The drop down menu with code snippets does not show up in Visual view in the page editor.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

August 11, 2010 at 4:59 am #23286gadgetMemberHere are my problems admi007
1. I am using 3.8.6, which I downloaded today though there is no way that I can see to know if that is current or not, nor to download a current version. Am I missing it somewhere?.
When I got to the page settings that I call “products” and you call “store” in the video. I do not see the cart icon on the right in “Visual” mode. There is no shopping cart icon or no drop down menu. So I would like to fix that.
Also when I paste in code to show the items in a list mode with thumbnails, noting is showing up. I pasted:
[wp_eStore_fancy1 id=2], and the item is #2 in the list. URL is http://www.gadget-gizmo.com/products/
Nothing shows up on that page.
So I dont see the cart button in edit mode to add the code, and when I add the code manually, nothing shows up on the site.
Let me know if you have any other questions and thank you.

“I am using 3.8.6, which I downloaded today” – That’s impossible… where did you download it from?
If you downloaded it today you would have received v4.0. I will send you another link now.
August 11, 2010 at 5:42 am #23288gadgetMemberI upgraded to the latest version and store icon with code snippets works now, went back and replaced code, and still can’t get products to show up in Product or Store page:
[wp_eStore_fancy1 id=2], and the item is #2 in the list. URL is http://www.gadget-gizmo.com/products/
what do I need to do to make products show up?
thanks in advance…
August 11, 2010 at 5:47 am #23289amin007ParticipantI don’t see any page there (it’s completely empty)… that’s very strange. If you go to any of the other pages you can see a page.
I will take a look at your site to see what’s going on.
August 11, 2010 at 7:44 pm #23290gadgetMemberI also tried to create 2 test products and they don’t show up.
I’ll deactivate, delete, then try again.
August 12, 2010 at 1:17 am #23291gadgetMemberI reinstalled and I can create another product now, though both products 2 and 3 are not showing up on the product page when I put the code there.
thanks for any help.

We received site access details for you so we jumped on your server and created a new page then pasted those ShortCodes and it shows up fine (not sure how you created the other page but it’s not acting normal).
August 12, 2010 at 5:57 pm #23293gadgetMemberThanks, and I see the items showing up on that test page. Though how do I create a product page for that product? I want to have H1 tags, and keywords to help with my organic ranking.
In it’s current form, with just a description box that has no text formatting or the ability to add multiple images isn’t really what I am trying to do.
How can I make a “product page” for each item, or is just this list with no links to more info all we get?
Thanks again for your help!
August 12, 2010 at 6:12 pm #23294gadgetMemberI see, now that things are working, I am going through tutorial videos and I can just create a new blog page, add all my text, and add either the “Add to cart” button, or the nicer view, like on the Test Products page
And I see I can add a link to the thumbnail to the actual product page. Nice!
