Product Specific Instructions adding span tag in email

I have three different products set up in eStore. For each, I added the {product_specific_instructions} to the Purchase Confirmation Email Settings. I have the email settings set to Plain Text under email product type.

When I do a test, the email comes through fine but the {product_specific_instructions} in the email have a <span style color: #666666> tag in the {product_specific_instructions} paragraph.

Here’s what it looks like specifically:

The other tags are fine. It’s just product instructions that is giving me any problem.

The plugin definitely doesn’t add any span tags for it. So it has to be coming from the settings you saved. Check the following two things:

1) Edit the product in question and make sure there is no HTML code in the product specific instructions section

2) Go to the email settings menu. Click on the “Text” view for the email body field. Check for any hidden HTML code and remove it. Then save the settings.
