Product list Hyperlinks to Product shortcodes

Ok, we have over 600 individual products, 180+ Song Titles. each song title has several downloadable products associated with it which I am setting up as variations, 4 or 5 variations per Title = roughly 600 individual products.

I am creating an alphabetical song list, a table of nearly 200 titles. I would like the customer to click that title then display the product details (via short code?), in its fancy display, ideally in a sidebar widget or within its own column.

this is an action Similar to the “Search Add-on” e.g. If I search a specific title its variations and an add-to cart-button would be presented. However, we need to offer an INDEX of product titles (verses search) that when clicked shows the results. Link to shortcode kind of thing.

Which is awesome. but…

1) I’d rather not manually create hyperlinks to product pages…. and

2) I don’t fully understand how the customer is offered and then selects those variations via the hyperlink. At what point do they get the variation?

is there a working demo of this function?

Hi, I think you should try the following addon for what you are trying to do:

It lets your users browse all your items (by category) and then allows them to purchase it. Use it on a page and you will see how it work.

Interesting and useful, but I am already able to display a list of categories that takes visitor to a list of products in which ever fancy display, within that category.. not quite what I am hoping to accomplish.

I’d “simply” like to display the title of the songs in an alphabetical list/index, and when visitor clicks/selects the title, the variations and add to cart elements are shown.

the category add-on and the search add-on come close to this functionality, product details being serve upon user selection/input…

in our case we’d like the input to be a text/link which serves the product details.

really appreciate the feedback, support. love the plugin and it’s seemingly endless adaptations.

okay. Some of the fancy display templates, link the title to a “Details page” (if you configure it in that product). Let me take a look at which fancy display template you are using to list/show your products. I will then be able to give you a better answer.

Can you please share the link of a page where I can go and take a look at how you have listed the products?

Interesting, I’ll have to check that out… though i wouldn’t want customer to goto a subpage.

Actually I got what i wanted using some hide/show div code. thanks… though I may need to revisit this as my set up won’t automatically update when a new product is added…. but for now i will work with it…

in the meantime, on to other issues in new post…
