    Hi Amin –

In the Sandbox accts, you need to have ALL of the accounts (both Seller and buyer accts) set on Payment Review – Disabled, which is actually the default setting. ;-)

Another thing to note is that PayPal sandbox does not support all the currencies (e.g. YEN). So if you are testing with a currency that is not supported it will also make the payment pending.

It seems that an account can be in review for many reasons. When PayPal finally decides to approve the transaction, do they send notification back to the WP eStore so that the product delivery email can be sent? I have tested the system with both the Sandbox and with a test product costing 0.01 USD. They both give me the same result…

[02/02/2010 9:38 PM] – FAILURE :IPN product validation failed.

“When PayPal finally decides to approve the transaction, do they send notification back to the WP eStore so that the product delivery email can be sent?” – The answer is yes.

“IPN product validation failed” – this does not mean that the payment is in review state. It could fail for other reasons too… the debug file should have more info as to why it failed though.

Thanks for posting it… looks like in your case it is the “Fund not cleared” issue so taking care of that will fix it.

What if I don’t have a Sandbox account? How is it that I’m receiving ‘Pending Payment Received’ email?

    Thanks,

    Michael

You most likely have “Review Payments” option turned on in your PayPal profile.

I have had an identical issue. Can someone outline where in the Paypal Profile we can find this setting? I have had a good root around and can’t find it.

Are you receiving pending payments? If you are receiving pending payment then you should checkout this post first:

    Thanks amin007 . . . .

” Glad to hear that… I knew it was something with PayPal but would be good if you could explain what exactly was it that was causing this… who knows it might help someone else reading this thread in the future :) “

It certainly helped me – as soon as I turned both Sandbox email accounts (Payment Review) to disabled, it worked.

Thanks for this info. Much appreciated.
