MemberHi,
I have a new membership set up (eMember with eStore and PDF stamper) and everything seems to be working like a charm EXCEPT the product download link that goes out in the email sent from eStore. I definitely have the right folder listed in the digital product section and all my ducks in a row otherwise, but for whatever reason the email simply contains
{product_link} (ie customers see that) but no actual download link.
Any ideas?
For now I’ll simply be getting customers to access download in member’s area, but would rather do it via email since easier for people and I can include more info via PDF stamper.

ModeratorIs it on a line by itself, or is it embedded into some surrounding text?

Memberon line by itself

ModeratorHave you tried retyping the tag, by hand, in case any invisible characters got into the original string?

MemberHaven’t tried that – it was part of a product specific buyer instructions section cut and pasted from a notepad file.
Could that cause some extra characters to get added?

ModeratorYes. Sometimes, I’ve copied and pasted invisible junk characters. Try retyping that line by hand.

MemberHand-typed it. Still showed up as the shortcode, not the actual download link
Very weird

KeymasterWhat version of eStore are you using? Have you made any changes to the plugin code?
August 20, 2011 at 1:30 pm #35722bentley74
MemberLatest version – was recently upgraded (following your instructions).
By the way – is there ANY way to test out the email system without full sandbox testing or dummy orders? Would be awesome if I could press a button and receive the email that customers are going to get (without customer specific details of course).
P.S. No changes to code

ModeratorLemme think about it for a few days… Depends on how much work it is to create and then inject a dummy transaction into the existing code.

KeymasterYou can test out the email system from the “Admin Functions” menu (there is an interface to send an email there).
I will send you an email to get site access so I can check this out.
