I’ve just installed and configure the WP Affiliate plugin and everything seems to be working fine except that for the welcome email message.
I’ve tested with two new affiliates, the first one resulted in an empty message with no subject being sent, the second resulted in no email message being sent.
I am using the WP Change Email Options plugin.
Any thoughts?
Thank you!
Lisa
Did you save the content in the “Email Settings” tab of the affiliate plugin?
Yes, I did save the content in “Email Settings”.
I just went through and deactivated/re-activated the WP Change Email Options plugin and it all seems to be working now for some reason.
Thank you,
Lisa
really would like to get your affiliate platform but I’m concerned that I’ll have the same issues with email that I had with eStore. (see this thread: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/what-to-do-if-the-debug-file-is-empty/page/2?replies=16#post-3554)
Since that eStore issue (where emails weren’t being delivered even though I was using the Change Email plugin) I’ve found out that my host requires PHP scripts to be configured to send messages through SMTP Authentication. Is there any way that either eStore or the Affiliate Platform can do this? Obviously, I can’t tweak the PHP code of your plugin… or can I?
thanks for your advice
Get a real hosting provider? (Just kidding). As I have mentioned in the other post… please start a new forum thread for the SMTP Authentication and I will give you some guidance.
