A friend using Internet Explorer noticed that if he has an item in the cart and then uses the back button he gets an error message.
I tried to replicate this in Firefox and managed to get the following message:
This document is no longer available.
The requested document is not available in Firefox’s cache.As a security precaution, Firefox does not automatically re-request sensitive documents.Click Try Again to re-request the document from the website.
After clicking Try Again I got the warning message to resend the data, which I accepted. I then noticed that the top item in the cart quantity was incremented by one.
I not sure if this is the error message as seen in IE but suspect it is a similar issue.
Has anyone else noticed this or know a fix?

Please see the responses by Admin and wzp in this post which will explain why you are seeing this behaviour (and why it is ‘normal’) when refreshing page or using back button:

It wasn’t something I noticed as I really use a back button whilst navigating within a website
