Hi, I am a brand new user of this plugin and I posted a question on your website regarding flat rate shipping. What I’m trying to do is to have one price for shipping regardless of the number of items in the shopping cart. Anyway, you were kind enough to direct me to this page http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/how-the-shipping-cost-calculation-works-in-wordpress-estore-50
Ok, so I’ve read the page above, and I followed the instrucctions and added a fixed amount in the base shipping cost in the settings menu.
I then, added a value of 0.001 in the shipping value for the product, however, when I test this, I get a paypal error saying
“The link you have used to enter the PayPal system contains an incorrectly formatted item amount.”
I’ve tried to use just .001 in the shipping amount for the product, but that gives me the same error. If I remove the amount in the product shipping options field, then I don’t get the error, but the shipping amount isn’t calculated either.
Any suggestions? Thanks so much

0.0001
or did you use something like $0.0001?
PayPal is very sensitive about symbols in the price field.

0.0001 in the shipping field and get the error.
December 31, 2009 at 9:32 pm #16987LJMemberHi, Some additional information. There is definitely a bug somewhere. I do not have extra characters in any of my settings or prices (either in the products nor shipping, nor general settings)
If I am using the shopping cart to pay for a product, I do not seem to get this error, however, it absolutely occurs every time I use the buy now code/button etc.
[wp_eStore_buy_now:product_id:1:end] (I have this code in my worpress post) and If I have this alone and click on the buy now button, the error occurs each and every time.
However, If I click on the buy now, and put this code also in my post (just for testing)
[wp_eStore_cart_when_not_empty] then, I still get the error when I click on buy now, but the product is added to the shopping cart. Then, If I try to use the shopping cart to checkout, (and use the preinstalled button (check out with Paypal, with the credit card graphics that are standard) the proper price is passed to paypal and it will work, but just simply using the buy now button, it absolutely fails every time.
