Premium Members Access to Free Membership Level Too?

I couldn’t find an answer to my exact question – but maybe it is just a matter of manually checking each level in the protected page. I did see some options and want to know which one is best.

Some people may come to our site and buy access to a video module product (created with estore) that is page protected with membership levels.

We have a FREE membership, but if they buy the PREMIUM Module first, they do not seem to be automatically given access to the LEVEL ID 3 that is for the FREE membership Level. I want everyone who pays for any membership level to be automatically added to the LEVEL 3 FREE Membership.

Is that possible?

I found this option 2) You automatically upgrade the member by using the “autoupgrade” functionality of eMember.

I have set this so that all other levels, upgrade to level 3, and put 0 in the time field..will that work?

Also can I give access in the setting to multiple levels? Though this isn’t ideal for that issue above.. Id have a string of Membership levels for our FREE videos.

The permission of each membership level is what you define it to be. There is nothing wrong with your Premium membership level also having access to all the free level content. So lets say you have a post called “Example Post”. You can give access to this post for both those levels. So a premium level user and a free level user will both have to that post.
