Pre Ordering for Digital Downloads

I would like to sell pre-order for a music release (like Itunes). Is there a way to set this by product or catagory?

I will have a need for this on an on goin basis.

I did pre-orders for an album that released on October 25th. I created a product that didn’t have any download associated with it, and on the release date, generated the email list, a download link, and sent it out to everyone. Seemed to work fine. Then after the release date I simply added the downloadable content.

hey mandybear610, how did you generate the email list – from your autoresponder or from within the wordpress / emember membership list etc?

WP eStore -> Manage Customers -> Display Email List of Customers for Product ID

WP eMember -> Members -> Member List
