I have the WP Lightbox Ultimate installed and working, using an anchor text to initiate the lightbox. This is the short code I’m using (not real link values- I’m using full paths):
[wp_lightbox_anchor_text_mp4_video link=”my-video-link.mp4″ text=”click here to open the video” description=”Video description goes here” poster=”my-image-location.jpg” width=”640″ height=”480″]
I’m using S3 videos and the lightbox and video works fine in Safari and Chrome (Mac), but I get an error message in Firefox:
flash: Video file not found Adobe Flash is disabled for this page, click player area to enable.
I have Flash installed, and the video works fine in the two browsers mentioned above.
Also, the poster image does not show at the beginning of the video. I do not have it set for auto start, so the poster should show before the user hits the play button.
The setup is in a protected member’s folder and not publicly available yet.
Any suggestions?

The poster issue was due to the short code breaking in the WordPress editor. I had copied over some parameters from a web page and the nasty little WordPress editor kept the formatting. It was unseen, but enough to cause the short code not display the poster properly. I’ll know to paste that into a plain text editor first before adding it to WP.
As for the video not playing in Firefox and displaying a flash file error, that was due to a Firefox extension called HTTPS Everywhere. Once I removed that extension, the error message disappeared and the video played properly.
The Tips and Tricks staff responded in a reasonable time and took their time to track down the problems. I appreciate their great service and recommend them highly. I tried a variety of other plugins, but Lightbox Ultimate is the one that worked best and was the most reasonably priced premium plugin.
