Post payment verification failed: Could not find this Product ID in the product

Got an error:

“The post payment verification for a payment failed … Request received for product ID: . Could not find this Product ID in the product database (please check the manage products menu and verify that you have specified the correct product ID).”

I tested it a few days ago and payment went through fine, and I got my test download on the thank you page. What’s up?

If this is simply an indication that they paid by check, then never mind, I get it. So this error message is a heads up to look for a mailed check and send a manual download link?

Did you have debug turned on? If so what did the debug file (ipn_handle_debug.log) say?

Did you actually receive a payment for this in your PayPal account?
