Hello, my site is a paypal payment processing only. The only place the notification email which i sell using the serial code plugin, will go to is their paypal email address.
I have having problems (not with the plugin the debug shows success every time) but with “@hotmail.com” users recieving my emails, as in anyone with a hotmail.com paypal address will not get their sale email and its not in the junk/spam folder. I added a instructions to buyers to add my web email address to their contacts before purchase (this seemed to work on the hotmail account) but alot of people are just bypassing that. Is it possible to add just a “your email” checkout box so when they add to cart and checkout they can put an email address different from their paypal email and the notification email will be sent to that address containing their serial key/code.
thanks very much !
April 11, 2014 at 2:38 pm #62205wzpModeratorThere are legal issues involved. If you ship (the serial code) to an email address other than the one listed in the PayPal transaction, you invalidate the PayPal Seller Protection Policy:

So, the missing email is the one being sent from your site, not the one being sent by PayPal, right? Is the email address in the “From” header of these emails different from the domain of your site? If so, your messages may be rejected by Hotmail and others, because it the message look like spam; because the email in the “From” header doesn’t match the domain used to send the messages.
April 12, 2014 at 3:03 am #62206adminKeymasterAre you using the “Thank you page” delivery option too? If you use that, then some of those hotmail users could get it from there:

Ultimately you should really fix the main issue which is the email delivery from your server fails to any hotmail account. Have you contacted your hosting provider and asked them about it?
