MemberDear Sir, I have disabled multiple login for single user from eMembers setting and the previously active member is being automatically logged out which works very fine. But I need to notify user for multiple login access to his/her account by “a popup” (after/before logging it out from one session) and I want to give the link for password reset in that popup.
Please help me in this regards
Thanks.

MemberAt least an error message before logging one out…
Error message should be like this.
“Your account is being used by someone else plz reset you password <link to reset password>”

KeymasterI am guessing you are talking about the “Disable Simultaneous Member Login” feature. It does give a message in the login widget accordingly. You are thinking that their account got compromised but that is usually not the case. When this situation occurs, it means they shared their login details with a friend.
You can customize the message it gives for when simultaneous login is detected using the following:

MemberDear Sir,
Yes you are correct that user can give the credentials to someone else to use but in my case it should not.
And “right now I am not getting any message any where” just user is being logged out automatically without any error.
I need at least an error message after logging one out…
Error message should be like this.
“Your account is being used by someone else plz reset you password <link to reset password>”
Thanks & Regards

Perhaps, what you were expecting was an immediate notification? That is not possible with the current architecture, because of the way web browsers work. If a browser is just “sitting” on a particular page, and the server logs them out, they won’t know until the next time they try to interact with the server.
In the case of banks, which issue account timeout notification popups, the actual “timer” is running on the web browser, and not on the server.

Member“what you were expecting was an immediate notification?”, Yes if possible…otherwise somehow the user must be notified before logging him out.In any possible way, which is not happening right now.

Immediate, push style notifications would increase the processing requirements for your server; potentially increasing your monthly operating costs. It would also require a major design change to the plugin.
